A 14-Day Digital Nomad Itinerary in Krakow

Krakow, a city often visited for its historical charm and cultural heritage, is also fairly popular with digital nomads on a long-term stay or just stopping over for a few weeks. With numerous cafes, several co-working spaces, reliable Wi-Fi and relatively affordable cost of living compared to western European cities, Krakow is worth considering as a temporary home for those who are able to work remotely. In this article, we’ll guide digital nomads through a two-week itinerary in Krakow, ensuring a productive work routine while embracing the city’s attractions and local culture. Feel free to adapt the plan to your own preferences or use it for inspiration!

Before you leave

Decide which part of Krakow you want to make your temporary home. Our guide on where to live in Krakow will give you an overview of the city’s different neighbourhoods. If you are arriving by car, be sure to check out our guides to driving in Krakow and parking in Krakow.

Week 1: work & explore

Day 1: Arrival & Settling In

Begin your digital nomad journey by exploring your neighbourhood and finding a nearby cafe or coworking space to kickstart your work routine. If you need to do some grocery shopping, check out our guide to grocery stores in Krakow.

Day 2-3: Coworking Spaces

Discover one of Krakow’s coworking spaces like Spaces to work efficiently and connect with like-minded professionals. Use your free evenings to explore the city’s Old Town, try out traditional Polish cuisine and immerse yourself in the city’s lively atmosphere.

Day 4-5: Kazimierz District

Take your work to the trendy Kazimierz district, known for its artistic vibe and abundance of cafes.  Find a laptop-friendly cafe to be your office for the day, a cafe such as Cheder, Cytat or MAK Bread&Coffee, which are all featured in our post on where to work in Krakow. During breaks, explore Kazimierz’s traditional shopfronts and discover its hidden courtyards.

Day 6-7: Work-Life Balance

Maintain a productive work routine during the day, but don’t forget to unwind in the evenings. Krakow offers a range of nightime venues from cheap-and-cheerful vodka bars like Bania Luka and Pijalnia Wodki I Piwa to backpacker-friendly bar-clubs like Teatro Cubano to more upscale establishments such as Między Miastowe on the main market square.  If it’s a warm evening, you can check out Forum Przestrzenie, Krakow’s most popular riverside hangout. If you get hungry after midnight, try one of the options in our article on Krakow’s late night food scene

Week 2: Explore & Engage

Day 8-9: Historical Exploration

Set aside time to explore Krakow’s museums and historical attractions. Don’t miss the National Museum or the Schindler Factory Museum for a deeper understanding of the city’s history. The Schindler Factory museum is located in the Zabłocie neighbourhood, in Krakow’s Podgórze district. Near the museum you will find a number of cosy local cafes along Przemyslowa Street for getting some work done.

Day 10-11: Day Trip to Zakopane

Take a break from the city and enjoy a day trip to Zakopane in the Tatra Mountains. Enjoy in the breathtaking scenery, hike, and experience the local culture.

Day 12-13: Try something new

Use your final days to maintain your work routine at your favourite cafe or co-working space. Alternatively, try something new. Spend your lunch break at one of Krakow’s authentic pizzerias or check out one of Krakow’s more unusual attractions.

Day 14: Farewell to Krakow

On your last day, wrap up work tasks in the morning and then take a leisurely stroll around the Planty Park or visit the Cloth Hall on the market square for souvenirs. Say goodbye to Krakow and the connections you’ve made during your digital nomad adventure. Or decide to extend your stay if you haven’t already!

Krakow is a relatively compact city, with a population of around 800,000.
