Il sale \u00e8 stato estratto commercialmente fino al 1996, quando \u00e8 stato colpito dalla caduta dei prezzi e dall'inondazione della miniera. Il viaggio richiede circa 33 minuti per raggiungere la miniera.<\/p><p>\u00c8 possibile prendere un treno della linea <strong>Koleje Malopolskie <\/strong>dalla stazione ferroviaria principale di Cracovia fino alla stazione di Wieliczka Rynek-Kopalnia.
